Milestone: secure servers, real rewards
Our authoritative game servers now run fully encrypted, with server-rolled dice, drop-proof matches, and rewards settled the instant a game ends.

A quiet but huge milestone: the entire online battle pipeline of Dice & Chess now runs on our production game servers, fully encrypted end to end.
Most mobile board games decide the game on your phone and just tell the server who won. We think competitive chess — especially with dice involved — deserves better. So we built it the way serious esports infrastructure is built.
What "server-authoritative" means for you
- Nobody can cheat the board. Every move is validated by the server against the real rules before it happens. A hacked client can ask for an illegal move; it simply won't get it.
- Nobody can cheat the dice. Rolls happen on the server and are revealed to both players at the same moment. There is no client-side dice code to tamper with — at all.
- Nobody can cheat the clock. Chess clocks tick on the server. Time-outs are called by the referee, not by the player who benefits.
- Rewards are instant and exact. When a ranked match ends, trophies and gold are calculated and applied in one atomic step on the server — the numbers on your victory screen are already yours.
Drop-proof matches
Mobile networks are moody. From this milestone on, losing your connection doesn't lose your game: the match keeps living on the server, your seat is held, and reopening the app puts you right back on the board — position, clocks, and dice intact. Your opponent sees a simple "reconnecting" state instead of a free win.
Encrypted everything
All traffic between your device and our servers now travels over TLS — the same encryption your bank uses — with certificates renewing automatically. It's table stakes for a modern game, and now it's done and load-tested.
What's next
With the competitive core proven, our heads are down on polish, balance, and store preparation. The ranked system is live internally and being tuned daily. Follow along here — the next milestones get much more visible.
